David Cameron has received a stern letter from the UK statistics authority, telling him to stop getting deficit mixed up with debt.

In words and pretty graphs it tries to make the difference very very simple.

Cameron regularly claims to be “paying down Britain’s debts”. But that debt has actually risen by £290 billion since the Tories started their deficit reduction plan.

Authority chair Andrew Dilnot sent a copy of the letter to Labour, who said it was “hugely embarrassing” for Cameron.

No wheelchairs allowed at disability tribunal

The government told Sylvia Middleton to report to a tribunal to see if her Disability Living Allowance would be reinstated.

She’s had to manage on her pension since her benefit was suspended due to “administrative error” in 2011.

But when she arrived she was told she couldn’t even enter the building—because she was in a wheelchair.
