Gordon Brown inspired this MI5 drama in 2009, when he said the British state did not engage in torture.
Producer Kevin Toolis began a long research project into the intelligence services and terrorism.
The result is Complicit, a hard hitting drama about a British agent (played by David Oyelowo) desperate to convict someone he believes is a terrorist.
He follows his suspect to Egypt, and tries to create the facts to prove his case.
