Ministry of Justice workers walked out for two hours on Wednesday of last week. They oppose the privatisation of the fines collection service that they work for.
Their PCS union fears that privatisation will mean cuts in staffing levels and a less efficient service.
The workers are joining the PCS nationwide ballot for action which will ask some 250,000 staff to vote for industrial action.
