We lost a revolutionary socialist and a class fighter when Peggy died last week.
Peggy joined the SWP in the early 1980s. She was punched in the face by the police at the mass picket in Warrington.
Active in Eccles branch, Peggy sold Socialist Worker at the ambulance station where she was a cleaner, and outside the ROF engineering factory.
She joined anti-capitalist protests in Genoa and Gleneagles, and all the anti-war and anti-fascist protests.
As her health deteriorated, she kept protesting and always made financial contributions.
Peggy’s strength and determination inspired us all. She will be dearly missed by her family.
