Protest at Red, White and Blue hate festival
Unite Against Fascism are in the final days of preparation for the massive anti-Nazi protest outside the BNP’s “Red, White and Blue” hate-fest in the village of Codnor, Derbyshire, this Saturday.
The “festival” is being sold as a “family gathering”. But the BNP wants to use the event to turn some of its new supporters into hardened Nazis.
The Nazis are trying to build a street organisation to work in parallel with its “respectable” electoral front.
The anti-racist mobilisation plans to “kettle” the Nazis to show any of their new found supporters the scale of opposition to Nazi ideas.
Those who are booked up for the festival of hate will be greeted by fascists from across Europe.
These include representatives of Nazi gangs from Hungary, who recently rampaged through a Roma village attacking a young girl and a pregnant woman.
UAF said that some 60 coaches have been booked from across the country, including Glasgow, Swansea, Brighton and Chesterfield.
A delegation from the RMT union is booked from London, while teams of civil service workers from the PCS union have been out in force leafleting offices.
UAF is calling for the coaches to arrive at Codnor at 9am, Saturday 15 August.
