William Blake exhibitions in Manchester

The House of Death, William Blake
Slavery was a recurrent theme in the work of radical artist, poet and writer William Blake.
Mind Forg’d Manacles is an exhibition of over 40 of Blake’s watercolours, prints and plates from illustrated books – including many rare works.
The accompanying exhibition Blake’s Shadow explores the lasting fascination with Blake among writers, artists, filmmakers and musicians.
It includes art from Blake’s contemporaries of the 18th and 19th century through to modern art of the 21st century.
