Harry Stanley 'Justice now' THE JUSTICE for Harry Stanley campaign picketed the Hackney Community Police Consultative Group last week (above). They mounted the protest just as news came that the Police Complaints Authority (PCA) had completed its investigation into Harry's death. Harry was shot dead by armed police outside his house in east London last September. He was unarmed. The PCA is recommending that the Crown Prosecution Service charges the officers involved with Harry's death. The authorities are under pressure, especially since local MP Brian Sedgemore raised Harry's case in parliament. He revealed that 22 people had been shot dead by police since 1990. |
